The player is currently in custody, having previously been charged with six counts of rape.
The player was charged with four counts of rape in August this year. Manchester City have suspended him from the team as a result.
The Frenchman was taken into custody and was denied a change of preventive measure on several occasions. Mendy was later charged with two more counts of rape. The player’s trial is due to take place at the end of January.
